Commercial and industrial concrete
Commercial and industrial work forms the largest part of Beulah Concrete's current workload.
Projects include floors, footings and other structural concrete requirements, with concrete available up to 50 MPa where higher-strength performance is required.
Kawerau is an important part of the service area, with demand from industrial sites, thermal power and forestry-related projects.
Beulah also has the capacity to complete continuous pours of 200m³ and more within a single day when the project is planned and scheduled in advance.
For projects with programme pressure, high early strength concrete can also be supplied where the slab needs to be used sooner.
Rural concrete and farm effluent systems
Rural work is another important part of Beulah Concrete's project mix.
Farm effluent systems are a key example, with Able Precast producing the precast wall components and Beulah Concrete supplying the ready mix used to complete the system on site.
The main benefit of this approach is speed. Precast components can be prepared before reaching site, reducing the amount of work that needs to be formed and poured in place.
Beulah also supplies concrete for other rural applications, including yards, pads, floors and farm infrastructure.
Residential concrete for local projects
Residential work remains part of Beulah Concrete's service, from house slabs and footings through to driveways, paths, patios and shed slabs.
Most everyday orders sit around the 20 to 25 MPa range, with the required strength confirmed according to the project.
Plain and half-charcoal concrete are currently among the most popular finishes locally, while exposed aggregate remains a common decorative choice.
Small loads can often be fitted into the schedule within a day or two, depending on plant capacity and existing bookings.
Three plants supporting projects across the region
Beulah Concrete operates three batching plants across the Eastern Bay of Plenty, each servicing roughly a 50 km radius.
That wider plant network improves availability across Whakatāne, Ōpōtiki, Kawerau and surrounding areas, particularly during popular early morning periods.
Eight 5m³ trucks support both smaller local jobs and larger commercial or industrial pours.
Standard operating hours are 6:00am to 5:00pm weekdays, with Saturday pours available by appointment. The newest plant is also consented for 24-hour operation where a project requires work outside standard hours.
No minimum load: ready mix concrete from 0.2m³, minimum rates on small quantities. Portland GP cement is standard; cement options available for sustainability needs.
Continuous pours of 200m³ plus usually need roughly four weeks in the schedule, so plant capacity, trucks and site readiness can be lined up properly.
Yes. Farm effluent systems can combine precast walls and elements from Able Precast with ready-mix concrete supplied and placed on site.
Most residential concrete is 20 to 25 MPa, with 25 MPa the most common order. Higher or different strengths depend on the project requirements.
A truck ideally needs to reach within about three metres of the pour. Otherwise, concrete may need to be barrowed or pumped through a local pump operator.
