Portland GP cement remains the standard choice across most Beulah Concrete mixes, providing a proven option for residential, rural, commercial and industrial work.
For projects where reducing embodied carbon is part of the specification, Beulah can also supply Eco Cem concrete. Eco Cem uses a slag-based cement component to reduce the carbon impact of the mix, making it an option for projects with sustainability targets or carbon reporting requirements.

Portland GP cement for everyday concrete
Portland GP, or general purpose cement, is used across the majority of Beulah Concrete production.
It suits a wide range of applications, from small residential and rural pours through to commercial floors, foundations and larger structural projects. Concrete is batched to meet the strength required for the job, rather than using a single mix across every application.
Beulah's most common orders sit around 20 to 25 MPa, with the plants audited to produce concrete up to 50 MPa for higher-strength requirements.
Where a standard GP mix meets the project's specification, it provides a straightforward and well-established concrete option.
Eco Cement for lower carbon concrete
Eco Cement gives customers another option where reducing the carbon impact of concrete is important.
The cement incorporates slag, a byproduct of metal smelting that can be processed and used as part of the cement blend. This reduces reliance on conventional cement and can lower the overall carbon rating of the concrete.
It is particularly relevant for commercial, infrastructure and other projects where sustainability targets, environmental reporting or project specifications call for a lower carbon concrete option.

Mix designs backed by regular testing
Whichever cement option is selected, concrete quality is controlled through Beulah's production and testing processes.
Beulah Concrete operates under the Concrete NZ Plant Audit Scheme and is quality assured to NZS 3104. Qualified lab technicians carry out regular production testing, while a plant engineer supports mix design and quality control throughout the year.
Concrete strength can be tailored to the project, with the plants audited to produce concrete up to 50 MPa.
For engineered projects where documented strength results are required, test information can also be supplied as a separate service.
Matching cement, strength and performance
Cement type is only one part of selecting the right concrete.
The required strength, how the concrete will be used, project timing and any engineered specifications all influence the final mix. Beulah can supply standard concrete alongside higher-strength and high early strength options for projects with more demanding requirements.
For commercial and industrial work, the mix may be designed around an engineer's specification or developed with support from Beulah's plant engineer.
